Jay McCarthy is the Founder and Managing Partner of Pacific Advisers. He has more than 25 years of experience across global capital markets, corporate finance and principal investing, with a particular focus on Asia and the United States.
Before establishing Pacific Advisers, Jay spent 17 years at Morgan Stanley in New York, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Beijing and Singapore. He was also seconded for two years to China International Capital Corporation (CICC), Morgan Stanley’s joint-venture investment bank in China, where he served as Director responsible for the Equity Division in Beijing and Capital Markets in Hong Kong.
Since leaving Morgan Stanley, Jay has invested in, advised and helped build businesses across critical minerals, clean energy, robotics, artificial intelligence, financial technology, digital infrastructure and real estate.
He has worked with founders, institutional investors, family offices, sovereign investors and corporations on fundraising, strategic partnerships, mergers and acquisitions, capital markets and growth initiatives.
Jay graduated from Boston College and is based in Singapore.
